How can we help you?

Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation
Through the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation, as well as EnergyShare® and other programs, Dominion Energy proudly supports community causes where our customers and employees live and work.
In 2024, $46.3 million was invested in the communities we serve, including $16.5 million from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation and our employee giving program.
The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awards grants in 4 focus areas:
Grants from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation are limited to organizations defined as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code.
Grant applications are accepted online during two grant cycles each year.
Most grant awards range from $1,000 to $15,000, while higher amounts may be awarded when a program is an exceptional fit. We often receive funding requests far in excess of our Foundation budget. Regrettably we must often decline support for otherwise worthy proposals. Such a response does not reflect on Dominion Energy's view of the value of the organization or its services.
How to Apply
Foundation grant support is available to:
- Not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organizations

Foundation grant support is NOT available to:

Note to organizations in Ohio, Utah, and North Carolina:
Enbridge completed the acquisitions of Dominion Energy Ohio, Dominion Energy Utah/Wyoming/Idaho and Dominion Energy North Carolina Gas in 2024, and today these utilities operate as Enbridge Gas Ohio, Enbridge Gas Utah/Wyoming/Idaho and Enbridge Gas North Carolina.
Due to this transition, the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation no longer makes grants in these areas. We continue to make grants in northeastern North Carolina where Dominion Energy is still the electric service provider.

Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation now requires organizations applying for grants to have a completed cause profile with Benevity.
If your organization already has a Benevity cause profile, ensure your Self-Certification Declaration is completed. If your declaration is expired, you will need to renew it. Please do so before starting your grant application. You will not be able to apply until these responses are completed.
